The topic of my bachelor´s thesis is the analysis and design of cover parts of elbow brace. Design has fulfill general condition of industrial design, especially technical, aesthetic and ergonomic requirements. The aim is to create a comprehensive concept that should evoke a contemporary appearance to improve physical and mental well-being of a patient with injuries of the elbow. Emphasis is placed on therapeutic effect and the whole concept should reflect the social and psychological functions.
Medical Aids and Equipment for Children with Cerebral Palsy

Title of the thesis: Medical Aids and Equipment for Children with Cerebral Palsy. The thesis' aims: The main goal of the thesis is to convey a well-structured description of the use, benefits and types of currently available medical aids employed in the treatment of children with cerebral palsy. Another cardinal aim is to complexly abridge the issue of how the condition originates, manifests itself, develops, and explore the alternatives for its treatment. Method used: Besides technical bibliography, in-depth surveys that included first- person interviews and personal encounters with a number of professionals as well as patients have been used. Results and conclusions: Various medical aids play a crucial role in the affected child's life, lessen his dependence, improve his motor skills, raise his life standard and help him in his quotidian activities and communication. Methods: This is a qualitative research method of synthesis of information from various professional publications and non-standardized interviews with experts who are dedicated to this issue. Title: Effect of braces on the stereotype of the walk in patients with disorders of the peripheral nervous system. Objective: The main objective of this work is to assess the improvement in walking patients with neurological disorders after application of braces that improve the stability and function of the weakened limbs. Method: The work is processed mainly in the form of research. The work focuses on the theoretical part, which is written according to the used literature. In the theoretical part is the great attention paid to the individual stages of the walk, the anatomical structure of the lower limbs and neurological disorders of the peripheral nerovového system. The practical part focuses on the status of patients after neurological damage and assessment of patients without the brace and walk with the orthosis and also the overall improvement in their walking exercise essential needed for daily needs. Title: Aspects of the tretment of idiopathic scoliosis. Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is complete the form to submit basic information about the ways and possibilities of treatment of idiopathic scoliosis with a focus on conservative treatment with orthoses fuselage. To capture the issue of disease, not only in terms of diagnosis, but also bring aspects of adoption and then handicap orthotic aids patient. Methods: For creation of thesis was used qualitative research method of data collection and analysis of secondary data from scientific articles, magazines and publications. This information was subsequently reviewed and consulted with an expert in the field of orthotics. Results: Indications night hypercorection orthoses for patients in many ways more acceptable and complies with the prescribed mode applications than the 23-hours braces. Title: Case study of use of a motorized exoskeleton as an orthotic aid in the case of post-traumatic paraplegia. Objectives: Assessment of the effectiveness of using a motorized orthosis to improve motor functions of a patient diagnosed with paraplegia due to a spinal cord injury. Methods: The theoretical part introduces the issue of post-traumatic spinal cord injury and related paraplegia and follows a description of the function of the motorized exoskeleton (and comparable devices) as an orthotic device. The practical part describes the case of a patient with post-traumatic paraplegia of the lower limbs, which includes anamnesis, diagnosis, planned therapies and especially the course of the therapy with the exoskeleton, including its settings, application, walking training and data collection. Results: There was a remarkable progress in the patient's gait achievement during the therapy with the use of the exoskeleton. These advances were based on the data recorded by the software during the individual therapies with the exoskeleton. In addition to gait therapy with an exoskeleton, the patient underwent other supportive therapies, leading to an overall significant improvement in the patient's physical condition and motor skills. Title: Attending physicians' awareness of the possibilities of orthotic-prosthetic treatment of diabetic foot syndrome Objectives: Objective of the thesis was to find out the current level of knowledge about orthotic-prosthetic therapy of diabetic foot syndrome among doctors, their attitude, and common practice in this field. Methods: The research was based on KAP (knowledge, attitude and practice) type of descriptive study. Questionnaire survey was used to collect data. It was necessary to create a new questionnaire in accordance with WHO guidelines. It was anonymous and shared through electronic form. The survey lasted two months and it was completed by 79 specialists in various fields of medicine. Eleven of them had to be excluded from the research. Data analysis was made in Microsoft Excel 365. Results: Diabetic foot syndrome is a serious complication of diabetes, which threatens more and more people every year. According to the results of the study, doctors are aware of that and understand the importance of orthotic-prosthetic therapy in management of the syndrome. On the other hand, they think this kind of therapy is underused. Their knowledge in this field is average, especially about orthosis use. Possible orthotic solutions of Pes equinovarus congenitus

Author: Petra Michalová Title: Possible orthotic solutions of Pes equinovarus congenitus Objective: The aim of this thesis is to point out and summarize the available options for solving the issue of Pes equinovarus congenitus. This thesis should also out provide vital information regarding the functional principles and technical composition of equipment and assess the influence of individual types of correction braces and create a basic overview of the relevant subject. The work is focused on the influence of knee-ankle-foot orthosis (KAFO) and ankle- foot orthosis (AFO) orthoses in one-sided congenital malformation of Pes equinovarus congenitus demonstrated on one case report. Methods: A proband at the age of about 1 with diagnosis of unilateral congenital malformation of the right lower limb (pes equinovarus congenitus) was involved. The proband was measured accordingly to provide specific data for the production of orthoses and then the subsequent production of three variants of orthosis suitable in the specific case of the solved proband took place. Results: The KAFO brace was proved to be the most efficient choice in this particular case. The aim of this work is to create a systematic research on foot orthotics, supplemented with the patient's clinical examination and testing, recommendations for the choice of appropriate structure of an orthotic aid and subsequent rehabilitation, which will serve as a clear textbook. The purpose of this work is to provide theoretical and clinical information that can help as instructions on how to select the best design and material of orthotic aids for patients suffering from the most common structural and functional disorders of foot. The whole work is written from the perspective of orthotics and rehabilitation. These two fields play an irreplaceable role in improving lives of patients with a variety of different diagnoses. Technical and practical characteristics of peroneal AFO braces

Title: Technical and practical characteristics of peroneal AFO braces. Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to gain theoretical knowledge about the peroneal AFO braces and to monitor the range of products on Czech as well as foreign market, which can help the patients after stroke and peripheral paresis of nervous peroneus make their lives easier. Methods: I used the method of systematic research in my thesis. I based my thesis on available Czech and foreign literature, electronic resources and materials obtained in prosthetic companies, mostly in the form of personal consultations. Results: The thesis provides a comprehensive overview of peroneal AFO braces and selected diseases which have permanent consequences for patients, in the form of lower limb paralysis. The thesis deals with the difficult problem of choosing specific types of braces for given diagnoses, especially according to materials and used components. The thesis can be beneficial both for students majoring in Orthotist-Prosthetist and for all specialists engaged in resolving foot-drop consequences.
